Love this shot from Archi/Maps (archimaps) that shows a 1920s (probably) factory/warehouse with a train going right into it. Easy way to get to work!
The High Line passing through the Nabisco Cookie Company Building, New York
If my five-minute research on this is correct, Nabisco left this complex in the 1940s, before this photo was shot in 1950. But the factory played an important role in American culture - the first Oreo was produced here in 1912!
Chelsea Market is there now, right, New Yorkers? If my geography is correct, inside this building is where I shot these photos just before sunset one day about a year ago.
In any case, this photo is fantastic. While checking my recollection about the building, I found a thread at skyscrapercity.com with a ton of old New York photos. Knocked my socks off.
